Well, I havent been to Latvia yet. But what I read about
there on this forum, I truly like, I do not know if this is
the attitude in the country. But in most western countries
people spend all day on Internet and get insecure, and

I must add you will rarely find Russian girls in Riga nightclubs now. At least I've got such impression past Friday. Maybe clubs are "separated" to the Russian and Latvian audience, who knows... but I've notice there are much more Latvian girls now than Russian.

Such a long discussion about the different between "latvian girl" and a "russian girl . I can say i never got the different between both and i spend two years in Riga and spend a lot of time with both girl types at work or private.

Speaking from actual experience, having met enough of both Latvians and Russians females, and `serious` ( well it was for me ) relationships with both, I would agree with the original author of this post. The Russians were imported by `Uncle` Joe Stalin after WWII, he deported half the ethnic Latvians to Siberia etc. The Russians, both male and female, have retained their ethnicity, Russian females are very `practically` minded, through necessity/hard experience - they are more interested in what you can do for them than `emotional trivia`. Of course they will `love` you as long as your bank balance holds out.....Ethnic Latvians are Balts, more like Scandinavians in nature, somewhat `remote`, sometimes stunningly beautiful, with a unique light in their eyes and an air of mystery.
Of course this is a generalisation but I would say it is true for the great majority....where it really gets complicated is getting involved with a woman for has mixed Russian/Latvian parentage......all I can say is watch out!! ( for your heart and wallet....)

Your opinion sounds funny. If you come to Moscow and spend there in the city two weeks, you will have terrible impression about moscovites.
BUT
you would hardly meet moscovites at Moscow streets, because they are at work most of this time. There are mainly people from other cities of Russia who came for a couple of days to Moscow. If you think that there are moscovites working in the shops and restaurants you will make a huge mistake. Moscovites are not working in the shops and restaurants, at least at the desks. The policemen are also not from Moscow, the taxi drivers quite seldom are. And more than 60% of those who live in Moscow now were not born there.
The same mistake you can do in Riga: the russian girls who stand ahead in the queue could be russian tourists: daughters of russian thieves who are managing russia now.
In every nation you can find stupid and clever, gentlemen and rascals, innocent and worhes. Never apply any template to particular person.
