This too shall pass. The EU is in far more economic trouble than the USA and before this economic crash is over the EU will probably fall apart and disband the Euro. Don't laugh, it's already in the works. The EU is a failure because not everyone is playing by the same rules. Germans work and earn while Spaniards and Italians and Greeks just print money.

The USA has just printed the most empty money the human kind has ever seen.. and it has only started. Money printing by Spaniards, Greeks and any other nation in Europe compared to what is happening in the US is a plain joke. What kind of news do you read, Fox news?

EU has been created exactly to give US the opposite monetary structure. As the results dollar now is not the strongest currency in the world anymore.

Regarding the EU - Germans work because they can't live just because of tourism and travelers, on the other hand countries you mentioned work and live for thousands years already exactly because of that (mostly).

Here you compare to the countries with strong economics, but don't forget EU has been joined recently by 3rd world countries with the post-socialism structure, incl. Latvia. I think that was their primary mistake... because Germans, Spaniards, Greeks really work, Latvia just washes the money.
