Nice To Meet You All

Hi,

I will be traveling to Riga soon for my first visit to Latvia and I would love to chat with anyone who has first-hand knowledge of the area, best places to go/to eat etc. Certainly I can find this information on the internet, but sometimes it requires a local to truly discover what's cool about a place. Anyway, I'm a young doctor from North America living in Western Europe for a few years to boost my career and experience other cultures. I'm very open to learning about different ethnicities and would love to do some messaging with anyone who is willing, so drop me a reply or a personal message if you would like to talk.

The main problem here is that the local person can't always know your destination point We actually don't always know what could be interesting for tourists. But if we talk about place to eat, choose Lido

Thanks a lot for the Lido recommendation. I've checked it out and it looks uniquely Latvian, so that's definitely what I'm interested in. As for the destination point, you're right, I probably could have been more clear. I am spending two days in Riga and then one extra evening/night before leaving the area. I'm open to traveling to a surrounding area or the Jurmala seaside, but for the moment, the Latvian part of my trip is just Riga.

I think 2 days is not a lot for traveling outside! Just take your walk through Old Riga, specially near the river's coast... or you could even drive by little ships you will find there. Right now we have a nice weather, so it's not worth to spend a lot of time indoors
