First of all keep in mind Latvia is not a hot country, and there are quite a few people with black skin living here because of that. Even now, in Summer time, the temperature doesn't go above 25° by Celsius too often. Usually it's about +20 ... +25 in Summer and from - (minus) 10° ... +5 in winter times.

Job? Oh well. There is total unemployment these days. Even many root citizens of Latvia lost their constant job, what could we say about foreigners, specially from Nigeria? No chances at all...

As far as I know, in Latvia there is no Nigerian embassy. The closest one is located in Ukraine. Type "nigeria embassy latvia" in any search crawler and you will find the address.

Come on Nigeria has the closest embassy in Sweden, Stockholm. However, I am still buffled with what would trigger off a Nigerian to move to a small country like Latvia when most of Nigerians are relocating to countries like UK

well i just came back from latvia and had a swell time there,i think if you want to migrate to latvia from nigeria, this maynot be the best time to relocate, as the global financial crisis is still hiting hard on some countries around the globe, which latvia or my own country finland is not an exemption...but latvia really surpass my widest imagination of what i thought it would be like before i visited..it is a good country and they will get there someday it takes time....if you want to move there, i guess you should do more research before moving ,if you really intend to move...all the best and goodluck ..from helsinki

There are some Nigerian doctors and nurses working in the UK hospitals. They are really nice, friendly, hard working, caring people and contribute to society. Under the new visa system recently announced only EU citizens can legally enter the UK without a visa. The UK employer must apply for it in advance, and under the new rules it will take forever to get one! Good luck to you Francis whatever you do. I do know that Tenerife Island (just off the coast of W. Africa under Spanish control) does employ a lot of seasonal staff from West Africa.
